The Lake George Land Conservancy’s annual Hike-A-Thon is a one-day event held each July 5th, created to showcase LGLC’s parks and preserves as free public resources, and to promote an appreciation for the outdoors and protecting the land that protects the lake.

The Sembrich is proud to participate and offer a lovely option for those with limited mobility, or who don't want to commit to a longer outing. The paths on The Sembrich's peninsula are partly wood-chipped, and partly asphalt that has some bumps; suitable for most strollers. The paths wander around the shore and up and over the grounds to provide views of the lake from all sides. An osprey nest can be clearly seen from one lookout.

Bring a lunch and picnic on the grounds or walk to a neighboring restaurant after the event. Participants are also welcome to tour the museum (suggestion donation of $5).

Participation in the Hike-A-Thon is free but advance registration is required.
