*The museum will close each day from 12:30 PM - 2 PM for lunch. The museum will also be closed during daytime performance events. The grounds remain open throughout the day.

Going North: Exit 22 off I-87 to Route 9N towards Diamond Point/Bolton Landing. Turn left at light onto 9N (Lake Shore Drive). Go 8.3 miles. The Sembrich will be on the right.
Going South: Exit 24 off I-87; turn left onto Route 11 (Riverbank Road). At the end, turn right onto 9N (Lake Shore Drive). Go 2.5 miles. The Sembrich will be on the left.

The Sembrich is a historic teaching studio surrounded by 4.5 acres of lakeside grounds with walking paths and picnic areas. Visitors to the museum can view exhibitions pertaining to opera and the life of Polish soprano Marcella Sembrich (1858-1935) that include fine art, costumes, and ephemera belonging to the great singer and her colleagues. The Sembrich is a member of the Museum Association of New York, the American Alliance of Museums, the Greater Hudson Heritage Network, and Opera America.

Admission to the museum is free. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person to help preserve and maintain our museum collection, historic studio, and lakeside grounds.

The Sembrich welcomes visitors of all abilities to enjoy our museum and grounds. We offer reserved handicapped parking and the museum and restroom facilities are wheelchair accessible. A portion of our lakeside paths are low-grade for those with limited mobility, though the natural terrain may still be difficult to navigate for those with walkers and wheelchairs. If you have questions about accessing the facility, please contact us.

There is a parking lot available for visitors on the property. Limited reserved handicapped parking is available. During events, a member of our staff will direct parking throughout the property.

We do allow photography on the property and in the Museum for non-commercial purposes only. The use of flash is not permitted inside the Museum. Photography, video recording, and audio recording are prohibited during performances.
If you would like to come to the grounds and use the property for a professional shoot, we require a modest venue fee. For more information see out Private Events page.

We encourage you to bring a carry-in/carry-out picnic lunch and explore the grounds. Food and drink items are not permitted inside the museum.

All event sales are final. There are no refunds, though you may transfer your reservation to another person. This applies to all event purchases, including series subscriptions. You can read more in our Event Admissions Policy.

We welcome your four-legged friends to accompany you for a walk on the Sembrich’s lakeside grounds. We kindly ask that you clean up after your dogs and keep our grounds clean for all.
Dogs are not permitted at events or in the museum. Exceptions are made for registered service animals.

Smoking and/or vaping is prohibited on the grounds at all times.
