Rights & Reproductions Inquiry

The Sembrich Collection contains a wealth of artifacts relating to Marcella Sembrich’s life & career, America’s “Gilded Age,” and classical music and opera during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Reproduction images of objects in the collection are available for scholarly or commercial publication, personal reproduction, or research. Photographic images must be requested using the form below.

Additional Details

For artifacts not currently available in our image inventory, new photographs may be arranged. All costs associated with contracting a professional photographer must be paid for in advance. The Sembrich must receive payment and a signed agreement before image materials are delivered.

A low-resolution digital file can be provided for research or educational use; this includes dissertations, or other school related papers. These are for research and educational purposes only and cannot be used in a publication, broadcast, or any other medium.

The Sembrich makes no representation that it is the owner of the copyright of the artwork depicted in the image provided and assumes no responsibility for claims by third parties arising from your use of the image. It is your responsibility to obtain the permissions required from an artist, their estate, and/or another third party.
