Violinist Philip Kates and fellow musicians from The Philadelphia Orchestra are joined by acclaimed pianist Hanchien Lee for an evening of richly expressive chamber music.  Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 17 (1846), widely regarded as the crowning achievement of her compositional output, reveals both dramatic intensity and lyrical elegance. Fanny Mendelssohn’s Piano Quartet in A-flat major (1823) offers a brilliant testament to her musical imagination and technical command.
